Till death do us part
I think that sometimes growth comes from a place where there’s no room for excuse, almost no room for chit-chat but you just shutting up and focus on delivering.
I look at a lot of the work I think I would like to do but I am not doing simply because I am now focused on chasing OKRs and there’s really no motivation to take on ambituous projects to explore these sides of frontend development until I volunteered to help AJ and Fola build the MVP of parentco — it’s being two months with zero pay and no regrets so far.
Some minutes ago, I implemented an infinite scrolling timeline using the IntersectionObserver — while I have always understood what the IntersectionObserver was for and I have even thrown the word around in interviews — I have never had a reason to use it, but once I started working on the timeline feature, I knew this would definitely come in handy and it did — c’est finis unto the next.
Overall, look for projects that will push you to explore things that you would like to try out.
